Capricorn, the Sea-Goat – Part 1

Capricorn, the Sea-Goat – Part 1

From December 22nd – January 19, the Sun will be in the Zodiac sign house of CAPRICORN, the Sea-Goat; according to Tropical Astrology.   The Sun reached its lowest point south on the ecliptic in the Tropic of Capricorn during the Winter Solstice.  The Sun of Righteousness is faithful to visit each Zodiac sign of the heavens as it moves throughout it’s yearly circuit.   This is symbolic of Yahushua (Jesus), the Sun of Righteousness bringing light to everyone that comes into this world.  “The Sun’s going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.”  Psalms 19:6  Capricorn is the 10th Zodiac sign of the heavenly Mazzaroth.  It is the symbol of transformation, a fish becoming a goat.  The ruling planet of Capricornus is Saturn, the Father of Time.    Capricorn’s element is Earth.

The heavens are filled with messages from images of strange looking creatures that were once commonly seen on earth and will be again.  The ancient ones were able to identify and map the star groups because they appeared as images, animals, humans, beast and hybrids they were accustomed to seeing on earth.  “As above, so below.”

The Hebrew tribe of Naphtali, on the Northside was assigned the Zodiac sign of Capricorn.  Capricorn is ruled by the 6th planet from the Sun, Saturn.  Naphtali was the 6th son of Jacob/Israel during the “baby wars” fought between his (2) wives and (2) concubines.  Wives Leah and Rachel were trying to secure their future and competing for the attention of Jacob, by seeing who could produce the most babies for him.

NAPHTALI mean wrestling to overcome.     People born under this sign are born fighters and determined to achieve their goals.   They are practical people.   The Earth element makes them down to earth and usually have a strong sense of responsibility.  They are rule-makers, hard-workers, bound by their own boundaries many times and prone to studying and learning.  Education and information is very important; government, activism and contributing to society  is also important.   It takes quite a bit for a Naphtali/Capricornus person to have a paradigm shift, once they are convinced of something.  They are blessed with a high tolerance for pain or pressure.

Saturn as your ruling planet is a constant reminder of time and can creates anxiety from the fear of running out of time.  Saturn’s energy can sometimes be tricky and dark, creating bouts of depression for the introvert that struggles alone.  Saturn’s Greek name is Cronus, the horned god.  He is also depicted as Baphomet, the horned god with goat horns.

Capricorn’s overall message is teaching us that true and lasting transformation can only come through sacrifices.   How much of the false you are you willing to give up?  Overcoming fears and self-imposed restrictions are a challenge on the road to transformation.  After all, transformation is what this experience is all about.   Transformation, the “T” represents the cross.   Without identifying with the Cross, there is no lasting transformation.

Your struggles, inner turmoil and wrestling can produce the transformation that will allow you to live in any environment.  The Sea-goat is native to the waters and skilled at climbing the turbulent waves of the sea.  The Sea-goat is also transformed into a mountain goat, built to move safely in treacherous high places.     {We will share revelation about the 3-decans or sub-constellations of Capricorn in the upcoming articles.}   Get your TRIBEOSCOPE book today.

CAPRICORNUS IN GREEK MYTHOLOGY & THE BIBLE

Pricus was the father to a race of sea-goats that loved to hang out near the sea shore.  They were considered to be honorable, intelligent and favored by the gods.  Pricus was close to Chronos (Saturn), the father of time; he who controls time.  Because of Pricus relationship with Chronos, he also knew how to manipulate time.   According to the myth, the sea-goats could climb out of the waters and bath in the sun on the beach, however, the longer a sea-goat stayed out of water, the more of its fish tail it would lose.

Pricus had lost many sons and daughters to the land/earth, due to them transforming into full goats.   Once their tail became hind legs, they were not able to swim anymore and would lose most of their intelligence.  He was worried and always warned his kids to keep off the land.  Because he could manipulate time, he reversed time several times to get his kids back.  Finally, realizing he could not control their destiny and prevent them from never being able to return to the sea, he offered the gods to take his life.  The gods were moved by his willingness to sacrifice his life for the race of sea-goats, they granted him immortality.  He would be immortalized in the heavens as Capricornus the Sea-Goat, ever watching over his children as they climb dangerous waves and mountains.

GOAT OFFERINGS

Throughout the Bible we see the parallel to this myth.  On the most Holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur, the goat was sacrificed.  Leviticus 16   There were (2) goats that represent the dual nature of Capricornus, the sea-goat and mountain-goat.  On Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement, one goat was called Yahweh’s lot, this goat was sacrificed as a sin offering for the people.  The other goat was for Azazel.  The high priest would lay his hands on the goat transferring the sins of the nation onto the scapegoat.   The scape-goat laden with the sins of the people was then chased out into the wilderness, into the hills and was forced over the cliff as an offering to Azazel.   Sometimes the goat was left to wander in a desolate area.

“Aaron shall offer the bull as a sin offering for himself and shall make atonement for himself and for his house.  Then he shall take the two goats and set them before the Lord at the entrance of the tent of meeting.   And Aaron shall cast lots over the two goats, one lot for the Lord and the other lot for Azazel.  And Aaron shall present the goat on which the lot fell for the Lord and use it as a sin offering,  but the goat on which the lot fell for Azazel shall be presented alive before the Lord to make atonement over it, that it may be sent away into the wilderness to Azazel.”   Leviticus 16:7-10

Yahushua (Jesus) became the fulfillment of this ritual for humanity.  He became  Yahweh’s lot, the goat offering for the sins of the people.  He also become the scapegoat, He took on the sins of the whole world and was lead out of the city carrying a cross, on a hill to be crucified.   He became the Goat of God to take away the sins of the world.   For His willingness to pay the ultimate price for creation, he was made the Firstborn of all creation and lives forevermore to make intercession for us.

WHO IS AZAZEL?

Many years ago I was preparing a message to teach for the Day of Atonement.  As I continued my word study from the Hebrew language of Leviticus 16, my eyes popped open.  I found out that “scapegoat” is a supplied word by the translators  in many Bibles and that it should read “Azazel.”

Azazel is one of the lead fallen Watchers that descended on Mount Hermon.  He was one of the leaders of the group of angels/extraterrestrials that corrupted themselves and humanity by having sex with human women.  Their offspring are called the Nephilim or giants.   Genesis 6   Azazel is the fallen son of God/angel that taught humans the art of warfare, how to make weapons, seductive cosmetology and witchcraft.

“The whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin.”  Enoch 10:8

Looking at the verse above from the Book of Enoch, it makes more sense now why the sins were symbolically  transferred  by the high priest onto the head of the second goat, the scape-goat called Azazel.    So great was Azazel’s sin that it found its way into the most holiest day of all and a special sacrifice was named for him.

“And Azazel taught men to make swords and knives and shields and breastplates; and made known to them the metals [of the earth] and the art of working them; and bracelets and ornaments; and the use of antimony and the beautifying of the eyelids; and all kinds of costly stones and all colouring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray and became corrupt in all their ways.”  Enoch 8

Due to this utter corruption of humanity and genetic mixing of angelic (alien), human and animal DNA. the Flood was sent.

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.  And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”  Genesis 6:4-5

The Book of Enoch gives a bit more details of what really happened to the sons of God that did not keep their first estate.  The Archangel Raphael was sent to deal with Azazel.

“And again the Lord said to Raphael: “Bind Azazel hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening in the desert, which is in Dudael, and cast him therein. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there for ever, and cover his face that he may not see light. And on the day of the great judgment he shall be cast into the fire.”   Enoch 10:4-6

Just to be clear, we are talking about extraterrestrial biological entities that the Bible calls angels or sons of God.  These are not “spirit beings” in the sense of etheric, without a material body.   The angels in the Bible are biologically equipped to eat, drink, mate and other things.  (Angels can shape-shift and take on various forms and even appear etheric as a spirit.)  When we read that Azazel was bound, this is not suggesting figuratively, this is literally.  Somewhere beneath the Judean hills in suspended animation lies the physical bound body of an alien, mighty angel, son of God.  His physical body is there but his spirit can yet move about and with limited access to the heavens.  Some of the Hebrew traditions call him the demon in the wilderness or desert.

(Azazel means strong, angry; to remove away.  Azazel taught humans war.  Could his buried body in suspended animation beneath the Judean hills be part of the problem of why there seems to always be wars and fighting in that part of the world?  Could that negative rebellious energy be yet affecting people in that region?)

The idea that everything is energy and that energy can be transferred is not new.  The ritual of  transferring sins onto a goat was not limited to the Hebrews.   The Babylonians and Egyptians observed a similar ritual of pulling out goats hairs to make it run faster into the desert, laden with the sins of the people.  Knowledge and a belief that an evil entity was banished  to the desert  was popular among the nations of that area.  There is a class of demons called seirim, these are “goat-like” demons that haunt the desert.   This is another reason the goat was chosen for this special day that recognizes Azazel.  The demons are the spirits that came out of the bodies of the Nephilim.

Some ancient traditions believed the offering of the goat to Azazel or the seirim (demons) of the desert was believed to be a bribe to prevent Azazel from further accusations against humans.  In some Hebrew traditions Azazel is also called Satan.  The “10 days of awe,”  starting with Rosh Hashanah (Tishrei 1)  leading up to the Day of Atonement (Tishrei 10) are the days accusations are hurled in the Divine Court.  It is my belief that this is the same period that Job speaks of,

“There was a day when the sons of God assemble and Satan was also present,”    Job 1:6

This prophetic period is referred to in Revelation 12,  “The accuser of the brethren accused them before God day and night… The accuser of the brethren is cast down.”    Revelation 12:10

In Leviticus 16, the scape-goat Azazel was led or chased out from the camp and cast down from a cliff or left in a solitary place.  The Hebrew people were initially commanded to only make sacrifices to Yahweh, however, for a period of time on the most holiest day of the year, a sacrifice was also made to a demon.  We say this happened for a while because later we find in the Scripture where Yahweh does away with sacrifices to the goat-demon (Azazel) by the Hebrews, whereas the nations round about continued.

“They must no longer offer their sacrifices to the goat-demons that they have prostituted themselves with. This will be a permanent statute for them throughout their generations.”  Leviticus 17:7

Why was there not going to be a need to sacrifice to Azazel any longer?  What was it that was going to shut the mouth of the accuser of the brethren.   It was BLOOD!  Not animal or human blood, but Divine Blood once and for all.

“Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.   And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.”   Hebrews 9:12, 22

“…For the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

And they overcame him by the BLOOD of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”  Revelation 12:10-11

“Feed the church of God which he purchased with his own Blood.”  Acts 20:28

CAPRICORN THE GATEWAY

Looking on a map, the Tropic of Capricorn is the dividing line between the Southern Temperate Zone to the south and the tropics to the north. The northern hemisphere equivalent of the Tropic of Capricorn is the Tropic of Cancer.

The Tropic of Cancer, highlighted by the Summer Solstice is considered by the ancients to be the Gate of Men.  It is believed that from this point in the heavens souls descended into human bodies and into creation.

The Tropic of Capricorn, highlighted by the Winter Solstice is considered to be the Gate to the Gods. It is believed that the souls of the departed ascend back to God through this portal.
