ELUL - PREPARATION

There is lots of celebration today amongst two of the world religions, Judaism and Islam. Today is Eid, the end of the Muslim Ramadan; the end of a month of fasting, based on the citing of the new Moon. Eid al-Fitr, Feast of breaking the fast.

Using the same lunar-solar calendar, this is Rosh Chodesh, the beginning of the month; based on the sighting of the new Moon. However, this is not just the beginning of any month, based on the Biblical calendar. It is a very important month. On the Gregorian Calendar, it is August 7, 2013, the Sun is in Leo. This month is special for many reasons, some of which we will share here.

This is the month ELUL, the 6th month on the Biblical Calendar or Hebrew Calendar. Elul means, searching; nothingness, good for nothing. This present version of man was created on the 6th day, according to the book of Genesis. He is lacking perfection, searching and lives in a state of nothingness, vanity and emptiness until comes to the 7th day experience. In Christian terminology, until he finds the Christ. Adam was created on the 6th day to live in the 7th day, until that 7th day breaks within, he is yet searching and coming up with nothing.

The month Elul is a reminder of our deficiency without the realization of Him. Elul is also an encouragement to Seek, first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all material things will be added or attracted to us.

ELUL IS BETWEEN AV & TISHREI

Elul is the month between Av and Tishrei. Av is the month of the Lion, the Sun moves into the Zodiac sign of Leo during Av. Av in Hebrew means Father. Av, the month that's ending represents masculine energy, the roaring lion. The coming month Tishrei is the month of the (3) high holidays. Right in between Av and Tishrei, is the month Elul. During the month of Elul, the Sun will eventually move into the Zodiac sign of Virgo, the Virgin. Elul represents feminine energies.

In the Song of Solomon this is further confirmed as the bride says "I am my beloved and my beloved is mine..." The word Elul is used as an acronym for this. This represents the metaphoric love between spirit and soul, God and His people. Spirit is the masculine energy or AV, Soul is the feminine energy or Elul. The purpose for this metaphysical relationship is to give birth to something. AV + ELUL = A Birthing in Tishrei, the 7th month, Sukkot.

ELUL, THE MONTH OF PREPARATION & EXPECTANCY

Elul is the month for growing our spiritual life, it is called the month of Preparation. The Sun will move into Virgo, the Virgin during Elul. This is what the Scripture mean by, "the bride has made herself ready." Revelation 19:7 The heavenly constellations actually displays this. She is making herself ready in the 6th month, under the 6th Zodiac sign, for the 7th month, under the 7th Zodiac sign of Libra. Why is that so important?

Jesus the Christ was born under the sign of Libra, the 7th month on the Hebrew Calendar (September/early October -based on the new Moon sighting). He is the Bridegroom that the virgin-Bride in Virgo, the 6th month is preparing for. Jesus was born somewhere between Tishrei 1 and Tishrei 15, most likely Tishrei 1, the first day of the 7th month on the Biblical Calendar.

Elul is the preparation for this coming, this event that will fully bring in the 7th day experience, the day of the LORD for the planet. Ancient Israel rehearsed this month for 1500 years before Jesus came and they missed out on the greatest visitation the world had ever seen. They rehearsed, but were not prepared, the evil in their hearts had not been dealt with. The 6th month had become nothing more than a powerless ritual.

As the Father opens our eyes to His Prophetic Calendar and we began to understand, we align ourselves with the heavens and prepare our hearts. When we do this with all sincerity, we can not miss out on the blessing and birthing of the 7th month. We are aware that we can receive from Spirit anytime. However, there are "set times", which are based on God's Prophetic Calendar, this is why we need to learn it. "You will arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, is come." Psalms 102:13

It does not matter whether we believe or disagree, there are "set times" based on the movements of the heavens that the Creator has ordain and can not be changed. Elul is the month for Preparation, Intercession, Fasting, Meditation, Seeking, Self Analysis...Getting the garbage out of our lives/minds and returning to God. There can be no Evolution without an Involution.

BLOW THE TRUMPET IN ZION

On today, the shofar is sounding literally in the Jewish communities worldwide. The shofar is also spiritual sounding, it is Elul 1. This shofar is a call to Repentance and turning to God. If you don't Go Within,you will Go Without.

Repentance only means, change you mind, return to the top (pent-house). It is the gift of Repentance that allows us to be the greatest expression of our divine self. True repentance is the seed for an abundant harvest spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially.

"If my people which are called by my name, would humble themselves (fast) and Pray, turn (repent) from their wicked ways, and seek my face; then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14

For nearly 3000 years Psalms 27 has been read during the month of Elul. Let this be your prayer and meditation each day with strong emphasis on verses 4 & 5.

"4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.s 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock." Psalms 27:4-5
