GOD IS ABLE

Some of you have asked about the kids and us recently-so we will share an update on what's going on with the boyz.

Many years ago, we had a photo posted on our website of our son Zarius trying to help me type our monthly newsletter, he was about 5 months old. We taught him to read when he was just over 2 years old and a few months later he became computer literate. Well, at least he had memorized my password, could google, go on line and find PBS and other educational videos by himself.

He began to learn the Scripture, memorize verses and even preach. Whenever I took the family on a speaking trip, he could not wait to come up to the pulpit and preach. He'd get so excited and filled with Spirit til he was literally vibrating and falling down. He would shout so loud trying to find words to express Spirit within him, that he'd become hoarse. People were so amazed and touched by his passion for Spirit.

Everyone that came to the house when he was between 2 and 4 years old got to hear his message, "GOD IS ABLE." We used to have worship music playing most of the time, his favorite song was by Ron Kenoly - "God is Able." He basically memorized it and used the verses as his message.

Zarius is 5 now and will be 6 in November, he's not as bold to sing out loud in public, "Yes, Jesus Loves Me," or preach on a whim now. Pray for him. : )

I had prayed and sensed for several years that we would not be sending him out to school. We were considering Home Schooling, but yet wondering how things would work with my schedule and all. Late winter, I had come to the conclusion within, that Spirit would reveal clearly the direction and to just wait. "Tis so sweet to TRUST in Jesus..."

About a month later, after finishing a short conversation in the middle of the street, with a neighbor I had just met; I went back inside my gate into the courtyard. Several minutes later Eye heard clearly and loudly, "Go and ask him what school his son attends." Eye knew before reaching him that he had the answer to my question. And he did.

School started this week in Arizona. Zarius now attends Arizona Virtual Academy, it's a K-12 program at home being offered now throughout the US. They sent him out a new computer, color printer and several boxes of teaching material. I have to admit, I was overwhelmed with all the information and material for a Kindergartener. I wasn't introduced to much of what he will be learning until I was in the 3rd or 4th grade. "Knowledge is increasing." Classes are tailored specifically for each student's need. I am his Learning/Teaching Coach - As if I needed something extra to do. I think I am finally getting the hang of the program and how the on line system works. Next week I'll be training Zobia. Another good thing about this is, since it is offered through the Public School, It's Free. Zarius is excited about his new computer and going to school @ home or where ever we might travel to. God is good all the time.

Before school started, we used to pray together in my office upstairs each morning. Most of the time the boys wanted to watch a song video afterwards. I'd heard a Black Gospel Choir on the internet radio sing a song called, "God Is In Control," by Ricky Dillard. It really spoke to a specific situation at that time. I found a youtude video and watched the awesome performance, it was also a hit with Jeremiel. He kept telling me to play it again. Jeremiel is almost 2 1/2 (28 months)

Since then each day I ask Jeremiel, what is the message today? He says, "God in Control." Each night before he goes to sleep, he tells me, "God in Control." He also tells ours visitors when asked. Zarius is teaching him Psalms 23 - he has much of it memorized now.

So what's the point of this blog?

Now matter what situation or state of mind you find yourself in; if you can just realize, GOD IS ABLE TO DO WHAT EVER HE SAID HE WOULD DO & realize GOD IS IN CONTROL, you'll be fine.
