REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY - Part 1

If you are accustom to public speaking and acquainted with what we call the prophetic or inspirational speaking, you will understand and identify with my story below. Or, you might have been a listener to a message and the speaker seemed to get off the subject talking directly to you, even though he/she knows nothing about you. Sometimes when I am speaking I get way off the subject and sometimes seems scattered, what I have found out over the years is the Holy Spirit is ministering to individual needs and addressing concerns that are not in my notes.

Around 10 years ago I was invited to speak at a Prophetic Conference in Calabria, Italy. Calabria is right across from Sicily, beautiful scenery, people and food. Did I mention the food? They really enjoy their food in Italy. Most of the time between and after meetings into the late hours were spent in fellowship around the table over meals where the courses kept coming. I even had a professional Chef assigned to me while there. The hospitality was great, I yet wonder where I put all that food and how I was able to even move. (When in Rome, do as the Romans).

As much as I tried to stick to Prophecy and demonstrating the gifts of the Spirit, the Holy Spirit wanted to do something else in my first (2) meetings. So what does one do? "Just go with it".

The Holy Spirit had given me a word for the area, it was my first time there and I did not know who the other speakers at the Conference would be. During my message the Holy Spirit seem to really emphasize the middle wall of partition had been broken down and God really does not see Jew and Gentile the way the Church teaches it.

(Look at these Scriptures. This translation makes it clear, Paul states that the wall of division was actually put up and used by the Jews).

"The Messiah has made things up between us so that we're now together on this, both non-Jewish outsiders and Jewish insiders. He tore down the wall we used to keep each other at a distance. He repealed the law code that had become so clogged with fine print and footnotes that it hindered more than it helped. Then he started over. Instead of continuing with two groups of people separated by centuries of animosity and suspicion, he created a new kind of human being, a fresh start for everybody." Ephesian 2:14-15 Message Bible

"In Christ's family there can be no division into Jew and non-Jew, slave and free, male and female. Among us you are all equal. That is, we are all in a common relationship with Jesus Christ. Also, since you are Christ's family, then you are Abraham's famous "descendant," heirs according to the covenant promises." Galatians 3:28-29 Message Bible

The other speaker from England was very offended and felt I ruined his lecture that he had prepared for the conference. I was accused of preaching "Replacement Theology". My British brother was extremely upset with me and would not even eat with me and enjoy all the wonderful Italian food. (I think I probably ate enough for both of us). In short, his lecture was to prove the superiority of Jews even during the Church Age and how the Christian Church owes them homage, respect and support because they are God's Special People. My dear brother was a Jewish man that believes in Jesus as the Messiah - Messianic or Completed Jew as some call it.

God, you are always getting me in trouble; I thought. He protested so loudly I had to explain to the Pastor through the interpreter, I had no way of knowing him or what his lecture was about. I did apologize for unintentionally getting him so upset he could not even speak at all during the time I was there. The Church staff was nice about it and promised to invite him again in the near future.

WHAT IS REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY?

In this blog we will only touch on some points and allow you to listen to the Holy Spirit within you. Our point is not to force anyone to believe anything- Listen to the Holy Spirit, the Word and common sense.

If one googles "replacement theology" you will find that certain people (Christian Zionist, Zionist, etc) have gone to great lengths to perpetuate deception and lies to the "Church" and world. John Hagee of Texas is one of the most prominent televangelist deceivers in the realm of Christianity on this subject. It is sickening watching him twist Scripture, mesmerize and program his comatose audience. (This was years ago when I saw his show)

Here is some of what the Scripture says about what can be termed replacement theology. This is not a new doctrine. It is not based on Anti-Semitism or hatred of Jews as the deceivers would have you believe. It was actually Judahites (Jews) that preached it, prophesied it and wrote about it. The writer of the Book of Hebrews clearly states that if the Old Covenant had not been flawed there would be no need to replace it with a New Covenant.

From The Message Bible: Hebrews 8:7-13

"If the first plan—the old covenant—had worked out, a second wouldn't have been needed. But we know the first was found wanting, because God said, Heads up! The days are coming when I'll set up a new plan for dealing with Israel and Judah. I'll throw out the old plan I set up with their ancestors when I led them by the hand out of Egypt. They didn't keep their part of the bargain, so I looked away and let it go. This new plan I'm making with Israel isn't going to be written on paper, isn't going to be chiseled in stone; This time I'm writing out the plan in them, carving it on the lining of their hearts. I'll be their God, they'll be my people. They won't go to school to learn about me, or buy a book called God in Five Easy Lessons. They'll all get to know me firsthand, the little and the big, the small and the great. They'll get to know me by being kindly forgiven, with the slate of their sins forever wiped clean. By coming up with a new plan, a new covenant between God and his people, God put the old plan on the shelf. And there it stays, gathering dust. "

Now let's look at King James Translation: Hebrews 8:7-13

7"For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 13In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away."

So we see by this passage of New Testament Scripture that God did "Replace" the Old Covenant (Testament) with the New Covenant (Testament). We are not talking about the 27 Books of the NT Christian Bible. This New Covenant was not written on anything external, it is engraved on the heart and conscience of ALL humanity. You can not find it in a Synagogue, Church or Mosque or in any holy Book; although many spiritual words are outwardly recorded and printed. If nothing was ever in print or recorded this everlasting covenant would yet exist.

Is there an Old Covenant reference to it being "replaced" with something better or new? YES!! Jeremiah 30:31-34

31Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: 33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

IS GOD A RACIST??

I think that it is something innate within humans to want to feels "special" and even "superior" at times. Yes, we like to be noticed, wanted and strive for the approval of others. It starts in infancy, we yell for attention and our way, then we seek the attention of our parents, then peers, then spouse, bosses and everyone we perceive that we feel we have to prove we are special to.

I have traveled and live among many cultures; one thing I found out is that every culture or race felt they were "God's special people", especially those with rich traceable spiritual history. And you know what, they are ALL Correct.

When God chose a nation of tribes living in East Africa called by the name Israel and brought them out with miracles, they felt special and they were. They were chosen to be a light, a witness of the Holy ONE, Yahweh. They were chosen based on the faith of and promise made to their forefather Abraham. God did fulfill all the promises made to them and even brought Messiah through their lineage. So was this about race?? Was and is there a race called JEW?

No, it was not about nationality, race or color of skin. Those 70 tanned skinned people that left Palestine to live in Africa and mixing with the various African tribes for 210 years became very dark completed, plus the mixed multitude that came out led by Moses during the Exodus. Exodus 1:5 Those 70 souls grew to several million. "And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children. And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle." Exodus 12:37-38

From this we see that what today is called a Jew was not a race because this nation was made up of many races (Joseph married an Egyptian, Moses married an Ethiopian, etc)- But it was a Belief/Faith, a Religion. So we see these people made up of many races, tribes and cultures that came to faith in One God, Yahweh and embraced the Abrahamic Covenant of circumcision was called Israel and practice the religion Moses developed later called Judaism.

WHAT WAS REPLACED

"God is of no respecter of persons". Romans 2:11KJV God's WORD Translation says, "God does not play favorites". So even though I might think I am superior by my race, skin color, gender or religion; that does not make it so. It only means I have an INSANE view about myself and maybe somebody has played a very bad deceptive head game on me.

"For God so loved the world..." John 3:16 It was always God's plan for All Creation to know Him. He replaced the Old Covenant because it was flawed with Pride, Arrogance, Superiority, Ego, etc - the people entrusted to be the Keepers and Sharer of Light decided to hide the Light and use the Light to destroy instead of give Life. Therefore, the Creator said, "You will no longer be the Keepers of the Sacred Light as a nation, it shall be given to All and whosoever will. The Light that you thought you had will become darkness and cause you to stumble." This same word stands for today for all that seek to misuse the Light.

In closing for today; Scriptural Replacement Theology, (if one wants to use that terminology) simply says: God has replaced a flawed concept that there is (was) a superior race of people having special privileges with a Better concept that states, ALL have the same access to the Creator from the least to the greatest and that no man can judge you because You Are Forgiven. Hallelujah!!
