RUSSIAN TROOPS ON IRAN'S BORDER

Prophecy many times is a double-edged sword. The Spirit will reveal a thing and also instruct us to pray concerning it. Sometimes prophecy is given not just for us to know future events, but sometimes to change future events. Then, there are some prophecies that might be postponed, but will eventually happen.

Can an Israeli attack on Iran be avoided? Will President Obama's highly classified leaks to Iran about an imminent Israeli attacks be enough to deter Israel from attacking? Will Russia's presence in Iran and Syria be enough to make Israel think twice? Are there really crazy world leaders and religious nuts controlled by demons, so filled with hate and pride that they want to create a literal blood bath in the Middle East to fulfill their eschatology? (YES!) Why does President Ahmadinejad of Iran seem so calm with the constant threats of super powers like Israel and the West? Does he strongly believe in ancient prophecy that predicts victory over the hi-tech military forces of the West? Could he and over a hundred million of Muslims be expecting Jesus to help the Muslims during an attack? What, Jesus helping Muslims defeat the Zionist & Christian West armies??! Can World War 3 be avoided?

Several years ago during the Bush Administration, while living in Seattle, WA, I occasionally attended Mosque on Fridays, sometimes Synagogue on Saturdays and Church on Sundays; when I had time in between travels. A Muslim brother, friend of mine from Iraq and I used to often fellowship. He was aware of my work and very interested in prophecy. I'd stop by his business and we'd share. We'd actually talk outside his shop most of the time, because he feared the government was listening in and he did not want anything to be misconstrued or taken out of context. It took him a while before he really opened up to me, he thought I might be an informant or someone sent to entrap him.

One evening we were discussing religion and prophetic events. I told him I felt that the West would eventually attack Iran. His facial expression was immediately filled with fear, as he grabbed me by the hand and pulled me further away from the doorway. He began to pray to Allah/God in a whisper that this did not happen now.

At this point, I was not aware that there was a sect in Islam that strongly believed in prophecy and the supernatural. He told me about an ancient prophecy among the sect called the Twelvers from the Shia (Shiite) Muslims. In short, the prophecy says that if Iran (Persia) would be attacked by the West, the Western forces would be defeated. The prophecy says Jesus would appear in the heavens along with the Madhi and fight on their behalf and supernaturally defeat the Western armies. After an extremely bloody battle, Jesus (Isa in Arabic) would bring peace.

I was shocked to hear that the Shiites of Iran and throughout the world actually believe in a literal coming of Jesus. Also, that many Sunni Muslims believe in the prophecy of the Twelvers.

Russia anticipates an attack on Iran by Summer. Major news outlet have been instructed to avoid this story below. Information have a way of leaking out. "Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have..." James 4:1-2
