THE PATH - Part 4

We are aware that the Word is multi-dimensional and that we can draw many messages from just one verse. Many years ago when I was studying the life of Samson, I discovered the 12 Zodiac signs and the 7 planets of the ancients wrapped up in his life. I was awed again at the depth and richness of this ancient text. In these blogs we will only touch on specific points and leave the rest for your own studies. Thus far we have identified the signs Scorpio and Leo, both are Fixed Signs. We were able to discern this in the definition of words and the actual account of a lion. Keep in mind, we are discovering that a person's lifestyle can sometimes be the most powerful revelation on the Path of Initiation.
THE MYSTERIOUS RIDDLE
The astrological signs of Leo (assigned to the tribe of Judah) deals with passion and pleasure and the sign of Scorpio (assigned to the tribe of Dan) that deals with sexual desires is heavily influencing Samson. He saw a woman of the Philistines (emigrant) and he is smitten by her beauty. He tells his parents, "She pleases me well", get her for me.
Samson set forth a riddle, if it could not be solved the Philistines had to give Samson 30 garments of clothing and 30 sheets of linen. If they solved it, he had to give them 30 changes of garment and 30 linen sheets. They had 7 days, but it was not to be solved till the 7th day, it was a customary 7-day wedding party. This prophetically speaks of the millenniums (7000 years), and the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) experience, the experience that we are coming into now. Sukkot is celebrated for 7 days, then a great day. It is also known as the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Here is the riddle.
"Out of the eater came forth food, and out of the strong came forth sweetness" Judges 14:14 The Philistines could not solve the riddle in 3 days. (One day in Biblical prophetic time is equivalent to 1000 years). 3000 years from the time of Adam was the time of the kings, and David was ruling. In spite of all the spiritual warfare and victory, they still couldn't solve the riddle, it was not yet time.
The 30 linen garments and 30 changes of raiment that Samson Promised brings us to the number 60, which reduces to the number of man lacking perfection, 6. This was a Promise that would benefit humanity. [60 also typifies the Holy Place/ Pentecost, the realm of Promise; 30-fold, 60-fold]. 30 speaks also of maturity, completion. The linen garments represents humanity becoming aware of the righteousness of Christ that covers us. The 30 changed garments represents Immortality, the garment of flesh/skin swallowed up in life. "We shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye".
The Philistines tried to force this process and it couldn't be done on the 3rd day from the first Adam, only in type could David illustrate it. However, the 3rd day or 3000 years from the last Adam (Christ), which is also the 7th day or 7000 years from the first Adam, the riddle of life will be completely solved; the day that we are now coming into. This is not a work of flesh, rather, the Spirit.
The soul has been lamenting and weeping for over 6000 years as Samson's wife did. "She wept before him day after day pressing on him to tell her the riddle". She did not want to experience the fires of purification, the Philistines had threaten to burn her house. The Philistines (human nature) eventually got what they wanted, the answer to the riddle. It was not a personal revelation or experience, but it was from someone else (hearsay). It was from Samson's wife. That is Soul-Knowledge. While on the Path of Initiation one can find much information which is good, however, the disciple must keep in mind that the tree of knowledge can cause pride and produce death. The knowledge must move from the head to the heart where it can be translated into real power. It is by this power one can successfully APPLY it and enjoy the fruits thereof. Judges 14:15-18
The answer to the riddle: What is sweeter than honey or stronger than a lion? In every challenge that comes in life can be found the sweetness and beauty in its time. That which appears to have been sent to devour you actually becomes your deliverance.
Because of the pressures of moving into the 7th day experience where the riddle of Life and Immortality is being unraveled, there is a need to stay balanced. "And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew 30 men..." Judges 14:19 Life and Immortality is hidden in that which appears as death. It is in Timnath (you), not in a geographical place call heaven. This is yet another downward or inward path of deeper experiences.
ASHKELON
Another phase of Involution, this time it is at Ashkelon, which means weighing, balance. Astrologically speaking we see the Zodiac sign of Libra, the Scales/Balances. Libra rules the 7th Zodiac House of partnership, relationships and career. Libra was assigned to the tribe of Levi. Levi means joining together, united. Samson further confirms this by desiring to be joined (Levi) to his wife. verses 19-20 After allowing the judgment of Dan (Scorpio) to come and dealing with basic human desires, overcoming the lion in Leo and dealing with the matters of the heart; there comes the strong realization for the need of Balance. (Another interesting observation is, Libra is rule by Venus, which represents love and beauty). Libra represents the lower back and human strength, dependency on human strength must come to an end.
This stage of your Involution will uncover many negative, ugly and unlovable circumstances, traits and emotions within you that will be projected outside of you. The challenge is to Love and see that He has made everything Beautiful in its time. The Initiate must find the beauty in each challenge and lesson.
The Scales also represent Justice and the love for justice at this level. Samson demonstrates this by killing 30 men. The number 30 also represents Outer Court or Salvation Experience; 30-fold. However, one must progress beyond the elementary things of Christ, or graduation from fundamentalism.
"But it came to pass after a while, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not let him to go in." Judges 15:1
WHEAT HARVEST
"...He went up to his father's house." Judges 14:19
Now the Evolution on yet another level. Time has pass, the anger in one stage has been dealt with, justice has come. The disciple is now practicing the art of Balance, or should be. Samson the Danite-Scorpio has a desire for Intimacy and this is developed during the Wheat Harvest, this harvest takes place during Pentecost (Feast of Weeks). Leviticus 23:15-22
Because of the past experiences the Initiate is driven to a place of Intimacy, the baptism in the Holy Ghost and Fire further ignites him/her with passion. Samson comes with a kid (goat), this was for sacrifice as was requires during the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost). However, looking a little deeper, we can see the power of a transformed life. The goat to be sacrifice is yet again another apart of the lower self being revealed and recognizing the need for At-one-ment. The goat was for a sin offering, it was to deal with sin consciousness and create the idea of being forgiven and forgiveness.
Astrologically speaking this is the Zodiac sign of Capricorn the Sea-Goat, which was assigned to the tribe of Naphatali. Naphtali means wrestling to overcome. This is the internal struggling within as the angel who holds the key unlocks the abyss in you, which releases all that's been suppressed. The angel is the message or messenger with revelatory words of authority to break the seals off our life. This is the power of Transformation as seen in Capricornus, it is a fish becoming a goat on the star map of the heavens.
Samson is aroused and want to sleep with his wife, but his father-in-law does not allow him to be intimate with his wife. This represents no union between spirit and soul. Religious parents of traditional legalistic mindsets have prevented many from having that personal relationship with the Christ by their doctrines and traditions of men. Religious leader have sought to take the place of Almighty God. This has caused much Confusion, Anger and Frustration as is seen in Samson when he is denied intimacy. Judges 15:3-5
An intimate relationship on a daily basis is important if the disciple expects to stay on the Path of Initiation or Enlightenment. A time set aside unplugged from the outer world for meditation, prayer, reading, singing, dancing or just Being is refreshing for the inner and outer man. The Master said, "Could you not watch one hour?"
